It took me more time to take the mower out of the shed and gather my tools than it did to replace this part. On my mower, the original starter was attached with 3 aluminum rivets. Using a 3/16" cobalt drill bit and a corded drill, I drilled out all three in about a minute total (be sure to use a few drops of 3-IN-ONE oil). Then, the kit came with nuts and bolts to attach the replacement starter, but that would have required additional disassembly. Instead, I just grabbed 3 new 3/16" aluminum rivets (short length), and popped them in with my hand operated rivet gun. That might have taken me 2 minutes total. All told, the whole thing took about 10 minutes (after finding my tools). Here are the equivalents of what I used:3-in-1 oil:https://www.amazon.com/3-ONE-Multi-Purpose-Telescoping-Marksman/dp/B0002YVAIK/ref=sr_1_6?crid=KUSB9N1EV7TX&dchild=1&keywords=3-in-1+oil&qid=1591791338&sprefix=3-in%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-6Aluminum Rivets:https://www.amazon.com/Arrow-Fastener-RSA3-16-Aluminum/dp/B000BPSL82/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=3%2F16+rivets+aluminum+arrow+short&qid=1591791826&sr=8-3Rivet gun:https://www.amazon.com/Arrow-Fastener-RH200-Professional-Rivet/dp/B00004Z2JG/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2IGUP2O4IDAR2&dchild=1&keywords=arrow+rivet+gun&qid=1591791885&sprefix=arrow+rivet%2Caps%2C150&sr=8-3
