Useful for a carb rebuild on my Craftsman snowblower

I have 123cc Craftsman snowblower model 247.887040 . The bowl of the carburetor was leaking due to a bad seal. For the life of me, I could not find the seal by itself at a reasonable price. The closest I found was an Amazon listing for $8. For the price of this complete unit ($15) I figured it'll be good to have a backup in case the original carb quits on me. I ended up using the new seal and the new bowl. Snowblower now runs strong!

Excellent choice

Installed carburetor on snow thrower I had left gas in and wouldn't start. Started immediately after install and ran perfectly. Would recommend, will probably buy another one as backup, although intend to drain gas at end of winter this time.

Lesson Learned

It looks great and it fits, but it's very hard to start the machine because this carb won't prime properly. If you can get it started it runs great, but if you can't get it started it doesn't matter how great it runs. There's a reason why OEM replacement carbs cost $60-70 and this one costs $14 - it's Chinese knockoff junk. I rebuilt the old carb and it runs perfectly now. This one goes in the trash. Lesson learned.
